By registering as a merchant on MyPerkify, you consent to the practices described in this policy. This policy should be read alongside the Merchant Terms and Conditions.

Simple promise: We use your business data to run the platform and help you reach students. We do not sell your business data to any third party.

2. What Data We Collect From Merchants

2.1 Business Registration Data

When you register as a merchant, we collect:

Business name and trading name
Business category and sub-category
Business address and location coordinates
Contact phone number and email address
Business registration details (if provided)
Bank account or mobile payment details for commission disbursement
Business logo and profile images
Representative’s name and contact details

2.2 Deal & Transaction Data

During your operation on the platform, we collect:

All deals submitted including discount percentages, descriptions, and validity periods
Transaction records — number of redemptions, transaction values, and commission amounts
OTP generation logs, verification timestamps, and transaction records
Payment confirmation records
Deal performance analytics

2.3 Communication Data

We collect records of:

Support tickets and email correspondence with our team
Responses to student reviews through the merchant dashboard
Platform notifications and their delivery status

2.4 Technical Data

Automatically collected when you use the merchant dashboard:

IP address and device information
Browser type and version
Login times and session duration
Pages and features accessed in the merchant dashboard

3. Why We Collect This Data

3.1 To Operate the Platform

Business name and address: display your listing to students
Contact details: communicate with you about your account and deals
Payment details: disburse commission earnings
Location data: show your business on the Perk Map for nearby students

3.2 To Manage Deal Quality

Deal data: review and approve submissions for policy compliance
Transaction data: verify commission calculations and resolve disputes
Analytics data: provide you with performance insights

3.3 To Maintain Platform Security

IP and login data: detect unauthorized access to your merchant account
Transaction logs: identify and prevent fraudulent activity

3.4 To Improve the Platform

Usage data: understand which features merchants use most
Performance analytics: improve deal discovery and redemption systems

4. Who We Share Your Data With

We do NOT sell your business data to any third party. We do NOT share individual merchant performance data with other merchants.

4.1 Payment Processors

Your bank or mobile payment account details are shared only with payment processors (JazzCash, EasyPaisa, Stripe, PayPal) strictly for the purpose of disbursing commission payments.

4.2 Public Platform Display

The following merchant information is displayed publicly to students on the platform: business name, category, location (city/area), deal information, and business logo. This is necessary for the core functionality of the platform.

4.3 Analytics Providers

Aggregated, anonymized usage data may be shared with analytics providers to improve platform performance. This data cannot be used to identify individual merchants.

4.4 Legal Requirements

We may share merchant data with law enforcement or regulatory authorities if required by applicable law, court order, or to prevent fraud or illegal activity.

5. How We Protect Your Data

SSL/TLS encryption on all data transmitted through the platform
Payment details stored using industry-standard encryption
Merchant dashboard access protected by password authentication
Access to merchant data limited to authorized MyPerkify team members
All team members sign confidentiality agreements
Regular security audits and updates applied to the platform

In the event of a data breach affecting merchant data, we will notify affected merchants within 72 hours of discovery.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

Active merchant account data: kept as long as your account is active
Transaction and commission records: kept for 7 years as required by financial regulations
Deal submission records: kept for 3 years after deal expiry
Communication records: kept for 2 years
Closed account data: removed within 60 days of account closure, except financial records

7. Your Rights as a Merchant

7.1 Right to Access

You may request a copy of all business data we hold about you. Contact merchants@myperkify.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7.2 Right to Correction

You can update most business information directly through the merchant dashboard. For data you cannot update yourself, contact our merchant support team.

7.3 Right to Deletion

Upon account closure, your merchant data will be removed within 60 days except for financial records required to be kept under Pakistani financial regulations.

7.4 Right to Object

You may opt out of marketing communications from MyPerkify at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email. Essential account and transaction notifications cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

7.5 GDPR Rights

Merchants based in the European Economic Area have additional rights under GDPR. Contact privacy@myperkify.com to exercise these rights.

8. Student Data & Merchant Responsibilities

Through the MyPerkify platform, merchants may access limited student information necessary for transaction processing, including student membership verification status and transaction details. Merchants must:

Use student data only for the purpose of processing the specific transaction
Not store student personal information beyond what is necessary for the transaction
Not use student contact details obtained through MyPerkify for independent marketing
Not share student data with any third party
Delete any student data they have collected upon request from MyPerkify

Unauthorized use of student data collected through MyPerkify is a serious violation that will result in immediate account termination and may result in legal action.

9. Cookies

The MyPerkify merchant dashboard uses cookies to maintain your login session and improve your experience. Essential cookies are required for the dashboard to function. Analytics cookies help us improve the platform. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings.

10. Changes to This Policy

When we update this Merchant Privacy Policy:

We will update the Effective Date at the top of this document
We will notify merchants via email at least 30 days before significant changes take effect
Continued use of the merchant dashboard after the effective date means you accept the updated policy
